Quantity Surveyor

Job Overview:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost estimation and financial management throughout the construction lifecycle. Your role will involve conducting detailed cost assessments, providing accurate project cost forecasts, and ensuring that construction projects are delivered within budget. You will collaborate with project teams, contractors, and clients to optimize costs while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Cost Estimation:
    • Conduct detailed cost analyses for construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
    • Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates based on project specifications and requirements.
  2. Budgeting:
    • Develop project budgets in collaboration with project managers, considering all relevant cost factors.
    • Monitor budgetary allocations and provide regular updates to project stakeholders.
  3. Tendering Process:
    • Prepare tender documents, including bills of quantities and contract documentation.
    • Evaluate contractor bids and proposals to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project specifications.
  4. Contract Administration:
    • Assist in the negotiation and development of contracts with contractors and suppliers.
    • Administer and manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
  5. Cost Control:
    • Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
    • Identify and address cost variations, providing timely reports on budgetary performance.
  6. Value Engineering:
    • Collaborate with project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising project quality.
    • Provide recommendations for value engineering initiatives.
  7. Risk Management:
    • Assess and manage financial risks associated with construction projects.
    • Develop strategies to mitigate potential cost overruns.
  8. Reporting:
    • Generate regular reports on project financial performance, cost variances, and forecasting.
    • Present financial information to project stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional membership or accreditation (e.g., MRICS) is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
  • Proficient in cost estimation software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts, regulations, and industry standards.

Civil Engineer

Job Overview:

As a Civil Engineer specializing in construction, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing various aspects of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include planning, designing, and executing civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, are completed within budget, and adhere to safety regulations. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning:
    • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource requirements, and cost estimates.
  2. Design and Engineering:
    • Prepare detailed designs, specifications, and drawings based on project requirements.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate design elements.
  3. Construction Oversight:
    • Supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
    • Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
    • Address and resolve technical issues and challenges that may arise during construction.
  4. Quality Control:
    • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standards in construction.
    • Conduct inspections and tests to verify compliance with design and regulatory requirements.
  5. Budget Management:
    • Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying and addressing potential overruns.
    • Work closely with the project management team to optimize resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
  6. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, providing updates on project status, challenges, and milestones.
    • Address concerns and inquiries from clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
  7. Risk Management:
    • Identify and assess potential risks to project success.
    • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  8. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, and correspondence.
    • Generate progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Proven experience in civil engineering, with a focus on construction projects.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with environmental and safety regulations.

Financial Officer

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the daily tasks of the Finance Department based on work priorities.
  • Update internal systems with financial data.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist with budget preparation.
  • Managing accounting activities including bank reconciliations, invoicing recording, accounts payables and accounts receivables.
  • Ensure policies are followed and the financial is up to date.
  • Administering accounting operations to meet the financial requirements of the Finance Department.
  • Developing an in-depth knowledge of organisational processes.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

  • Previous work experience as a Financial Officer or similar role.
  • BSc degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
  • Professional Qualification as an ACCA is considered a plus.
  • Solid knowledge and competency in financial and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
  • Knowledge of financial regulations.
  • Sharp time management and organizational skills.

Sales Advisor

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Client Interaction:
• Assist in engaging with potential buyers and understanding their preferences.

• Accompany senior advisors during property tours and learn to effectively communicate property features.

Sales Support:
• Provide administrative support to the sales team in preparing sales proposals and documentation.

• Assist in organizing and maintaining client databases and records.

Market Research:
• Assist in researching market trends, property values, and competitor activities.

• Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations based on market analysis.

Customer Service:
• Learn to address client inquiries and concerns, providing timely and accurate information.

• Participate in customer follow-ups to gauge satisfaction and gather feedback.

Networking:
• Attend industry events and networking opportunities alongside senior advisors.

• Develop relationships with real estate professionals and other stakeholders.

Learning and Development:
• Actively participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of real estate sales techniques

• Stay informed about industry updates, legal requirements, and company policies.

REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, real estate, or a related field is preferred.

  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt quickly.
  •  Basic understanding of sales principles.
  •  Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  •  Flexible to work weekends when requested.

Training: A comprehensive training program will be provided to equip the Sales Advisor with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in the role.

Supervision: The Sales Advisor will work under the guidance and supervision of senior sales professionals, receiving mentorship and support throughout their development.
