Fig Tree Bay in Protaras has been ranked among the 19 top beaches in Europe for 2026 in the annual Travellers’ Choice Awards by the travel platform Tripadvisor, according to an announcement by the Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia, which expressed its satisfaction with this significant international distinction.
Fig Tree Bay, the Municipality notes, is the only beach in Cyprus included in this year’s European list, confirming its long-standing value as a premier seaside destination and further enhancing the international profile of Protaras and the Municipality of Paralimni – Deryneia.
The Municipality extends its warm thanks to the hundreds of thousands of Cypriot and international visitors who, through their ratings and reviews, consistently highlight Fig Tree Bay as the top beach in Cyprus. “Their trust and preference constitute the strongest validation of the efforts being made in terms of cleanliness, safety, accessibility and organization,” the announcement states.
