Housing subsidy for young people up to 41 years old – The two KARMA projects that fall under the plan

The Ministry of Interior has announced a new housing grant scheme for young couples and/or young people up to 41 years old, through which 400 individuals will benefit.

The Scheme provides financial support to young couples with or without children, young single-parent families, and young single individuals up to 41 years old, for acquiring a home with an area of up to 150 sq.m.

The purpose of the Scheme is for at least 400 beneficiaries to receive support, based on priority order.

Family Composition and Maximum Financial Support:

• Young Single Individual (up to 41 years old on the date of application): €20,000

• Young Couple (at least one member must not have reached the age of 41 on the date of application): €45,000

• Young Family with Children (including young single-parent families): €50,000

• Additional amount of up to €10,000 for persons with disabilities.

Income Criteria:

• Single Individual: Maximum gross family income €30,000

• Couple or Two-Person Single-Parent Family: Maximum gross family income €50,000

• Three-Person Family (including single-parent families): Maximum gross family income €55,000

• Four-Person Family (including single-parent families): Maximum gross family income €60,000

• Five or More Members (including single-parent families): Maximum gross family income €70,000

Interested individuals can access the Announcement and the Implementation Guide of the Scheme—which include all required information, the Application Form, and all necessary documents—through the online platform www.housing.moi.gov.cy or the website of the Ministry of Interior. They can also obtain them in printed form from the Ministry of Interior in Nicosia or from the local District Administrations.

Applications will be accepted from January 15, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. until November 30, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
